For reasons I will not mention, I need a machine that runs Jvaqbjf.
Mr. Murphy had decided that he needed some ferrous oxide more that
the machine filling that slot. It was running something known by two
letters, long abandoned by its parents. Though it sucked, I was
accustomed to its suckage. (ASS)

Krampus seems to have outfitted me with a system with about 10 times
the suckage...

The old unit will be cured of its iron deficiency, possibly using
silicon, and then resurrected with a shot of Yvahk.

Or such is the plan.

Oh no! I had nearly forgotten that -- that machine was saved by
Yvahk a long time ago.

This was a more recent eX Parrot...

Ah! "M. E." The _other_ Windows 2000.
I have fond[1] memories of doing support for that, almost none of
which are related to the OS itself.

I think my favourite bit about that abortion of an OS was that the
chinese students I was supporting at the time called it "Window me"
and it always sounded like a request to throw them through one.

Round these parts it was known as "Windows me harder" (optionally
"with a rusty chainsaw").

It's a short step from using alt.binaries.warez.protocol-droids.c3p0 to
Palpatine seeing a post along the lines of: "CA|\| NE1 0N Th]5 BB0ARD
T3Ll M3 H0w 2 GeT KeWL S]Th P0WeRZ!?!?!?!??!?" The rest is, well, a
couple more overly-hyped ILM graphics demos. -- Douglas Henke

Wasn't "Windows me harder" just about the typical designation?

I have very fond memories of not going anywhere near that one...
